Die preisgekrönte Modular Industry Computing Architecture wurde von Perinet aufgegriffen und neu konzipiert. Durch den flexiblen, modularen Ansatz kann der periMICA edge computer bedarfsgerecht angepasst werden. Je nach Anwendung und Umgebung können aus einem Baukasten unterschiedliche Hardware-Module und Software-Apps kombiniert und mit eigenen Hardware- und Software-Elementen erweitert werden.

periMICA Edge Computer

Der periMICA edge computer ist als Kombination von industrietauglicher Hardware und Open Source-basierter Software die ideale Plattform, um dezentral Aufgaben im Feld zu übernehmen. Er basiert auf einem abgesicherten Linux-System mit Anwendungen, die in voneinander unabhängigen Software-Containern laufen. Neben dem kompakten und robusten IP67 Aluminiumgehäuse wird periMICA demnächst auch als IP20 Version speziell für den Einsatz im Schaltschrank verfügbar sein.

The periSCOPE container makes the network segment of a periMICA visible: it discovers all devices and services announced via mDNS/DNS-SD and provides the results through a web UI and REST API, so every periNODE and container of an application can be found without knowing its address.

The PKI2go container is the security hub of a Perinet application: it sets up a certificate authority on the periMICA, secures periNODEs and containers with certificates and establishes mutual trust between all devices, managed through a web UI with role-based access.

The Python container turns the periMICA into a programmable application host: Python code is written, deployed and started directly in the browser, with built-in MQTT and REST access to all devices of the application. Ideal for logic that spans multiple devices, such as correlation, counting or custom data processing.
