With event-based communication, users can define thresholds and assign custom event names. When a threshold is crossed, an event is triggered and broadcast across the network. For example, a wind monitor detecting strong winds might send the message: ”gale warning". A connected device, such as a shutter actuator, can instantly react by opening it to prevent destruction—without requiring external intervention. The actuator’s response can be easily configured directly on the device, translating human-readable events into device-specific actions.
